Journey | Meet The Doctors Event MEET THE DOCTORS
EVENT
All of our patients are invited to attend
“Meet the Doctors Night,” which is held every
few months. This event provides you with another kind of opportunity
to prepare for birth and to meet all the doctors who could
be on-call when you are in labour.
At Meet the Doctors Night we will get
to know each other while talking about labour, birth, and
the newborn period. Topics include:
- When to call the doctor
- Comfort measures in early labour
- Ways of dealing with pain
- Labour support
- Birth positions
- How fathers and partners can help
- What a father might experience
- Adjustment to unexpected events
in labour and birth
- Breastfeeding tips
- Taking good care of yourself
We encourage questions, discussion,
and story telling.
We hope that all of our patients will
attend with their partners and support people.
Children are welcome.
Refreshments are served.
